Strip Challenge – Terms & Conditions
1. Promoter
The promotion is run by The Whitening Co, operated by The Basic Company Ltd (the "Promoter").
2. Eligibility
The promotion is open to residents of New Zealand and Australia, aged 18 years or over. Employees of the Promoter and their immediate families are not eligible to enter.
3. Promotion Period
• Purchase Period: 1 February 2026 to 28 February 2026 (inclusive).
• Photo Upload Deadline: Friday 20 March 2026 at 5:00pm NZDT.
• Prize Draw: Winners will be drawn at random prior to 31 March 2026.
Entries received outside these timeframes will not be eligible.
4. How to Enter
To enter, participants must:
• Purchase The Whitening Co whitening strips during the Purchase Period;
• Complete 14 whitening treatments using the purchased product;
• Upload one clear "before" photo (taken prior to commencing treatments) and one clear "after" photo (taken after completing 14 treatments) via the promotion landing page by the Photo Upload Deadline; and
• Complete all required fields on the entry form.
Only one (1) entry per person is permitted.
5. Photo Requirements
Submitted photos must:
• Be original images taken by the entrant;
• Clearly show the entrant's teeth before and after the challenge;
• Not be digitally altered, filtered, retouched, or enhanced;
• Not contain third-party branding, offensive material, or content that infringes the rights of others.
The Promoter reserves the right to reject, refuse, or disqualify any entry that does not meet these requirements.
6. Prize Details
Three (3) prizes will be awarded:
• One (1) Apple iPhone (model and colour determined by the Promoter);
• One (1) pair of Apple AirPods (model determined by the Promoter);
• One (1) double pass to Ultra Music Festival New Zealand (event tickets only).
The Ultra Music Festival prize includes tickets only and does not include travel, accommodation, meals, insurance, visas, transfers, or any other expenses.
Prizes are not transferable, refundable, or redeemable for cash. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute any prize with another of equal or greater value if required.
7. Winner Selection & Notification
Winners will be selected at random from all eligible entries. Winners will be notified using the contact details provided at entry within five (5) business days of the draw.
If a winner does not respond within seven (7) days of notification, the Promoter reserves the right to redraw the prize.
8. Image Use & Intellectual Property Consent
By submitting photos, entrants:
• Confirm they own all rights to the submitted images;
• Grant the Promoter a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, irrevocable licence to use, reproduce, edit, adapt, publish, distribute, and display the images (and any associated testimonials) for marketing, advertising, promotional, and educational purposes across all media channels, including but not limited to websites, social media, paid advertising, email marketing, and in-store materials; and
• Waive any right to inspect or approve final marketing materials or to receive compensation for such use.
9. Right to Refuse or Remove Content
The Promoter reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to:
• Refuse to publish any submitted image or content;
• Remove or discontinue use of any image or content at any time; and
• Edit content for formatting, clarity, or brand consistency, provided such edits do not materially misrepresent results.
10. Consent Withdrawal Process
Entrants may request withdrawal of consent for future use of their images by contacting the Promoter in writing at info@whiteningco.nz.
Upon receipt of a valid request, the Promoter will take reasonable steps to cease using the images in future marketing. Entrants acknowledge that:
• Withdrawal of consent does not apply retroactively; and
• Images already published, distributed, or embedded in campaigns may not be able to be removed from all platforms.
11. Medical & Results Disclaimer
The Whitening Co products are cosmetic in nature and are not medical or dental treatments. Individual results vary.
Entrants acknowledge that:
• Teeth whitening may not be suitable for all individuals;
• They are responsible for determining whether the product is appropriate for their personal circumstances; and
• If they experience sensitivity, irritation, or discomfort, they should discontinue use and seek advice from a dental professional.
The Promoter makes no guarantees regarding whitening outcomes.
12. Privacy
Personal information collected will be used for the purposes of administering the promotion and in accordance with the Promoter's Privacy Policy. Submitted images may be published publicly as outlined in these Terms & Conditions.
13. General
• The Promoter's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
• The Promoter is not responsible for late, lost, incomplete, or corrupted entries.
• The Promoter is not responsible for any cancellation, postponement, or change to an event forming part of a prize.
• This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by Apple or Ultra Music Festival.
• To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Promoter excludes all liability for any loss or damage arising from participation in the promotion or acceptance of a prize.
14. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of New Zealand, and entrants from Australia submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of New Zealand courts.
